Family Empowerment Program

Family Empowerment Program (FEP)

This diversion program targets adolescents between the ages of 14-18, with presenting issues that include but are not limited to: drug use, legal involvement, and / or conduct problems. Services are offered in a group setting and parents are required to actively participate. The program utilizes two curriculums which are The Nurturing Program and The MET/CBT based Cannabis Youth Treatment Series. Youth must be referred by the Juvenile Service Department (JSD).

Services Include

    • Three hours of weekly Family Therapy & Communication Skills
    • One hour weekly Anger Management / Impulse Control and Decision Making Skills
    • Two hours weekly Substance Abuse Counseling
    • Random Drug Testing (on-site/free for clients)
    • 13 weeks of treatment
    • Community Service Opportunities

Program Qualifiers

    • 14 - 18 Years old males and females
    • JSD Referral (First Offense or Prevention)

    • Mondays 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Youth Sessions
    • Mondays 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Parents Sessions
    • Wednesdays 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM - Youth Sessions
